Royal Mail privatisation abandoned.

Plans to sell-off Royal Mail, the state-owned postal storage company, were abandoned this morning when thousands of staff staged a mass walk-in and removed the company's stock of cash, benefit cheques and brand-new credit cards. The items were then taken out in bags and trolleys and put through holes in doors, it is understood.

Management at Royal Mail were visibly shocked as they saw the company's inventory of stock decimated, rendering the business absolutely worthless. A meeting between management and unions has been arranged for next Tuesday: Royal Mail managers expect to arrive by Thursday. Perhaps.

Last year, plans to sell off the separate Post Office business were abandoned when nobody could find an open counter to buy it from.
